KIDS DAY OUT (KDO)

For many years, our Kid's Day Out events have provided the unique opportunity for children with autism to meet other kids and enjoy interacting in a relaxed, safe atmosphere. Children participate in arts and crafts, games and playground time in a 2-1 volunteer to child ratio. Snacks and games are provided by IMPACT Autism and ALL children of ALL ages, including siblings are welcome! Our volunteers are members of IMPACT Autism and have received training and background checks.

 

In the past, the event has taken place at the local Gainesville YMCA, Westside Park, Kanapaha Park, and in High Springs, FL. Sign up is on a first come, first serve basis and can be completed electronically through a link provided to parents on our ListServe. We hope to see you at one of our events soon!

IMPORTANT UPDATE 2022-2023

Hello Impacters, all our friends and families! We regret to inform everyone that we are temporarily pausing our KDO events. To ensure that we keep our KDO events safe and relaxing, we are carefully evaluating our KDO structure and requirements. We are planning to pick up our KDO's in Spring 2023, where they will be better than ever! In the meantime, we still have our My Friends events, Impact Autism member social events, and annual Stomp the Swamp 2023 fundraiser coming up soon! More updates about our next KDO date will be given out through email and our social medias. Thank you so much for being a part of us, and Happy Holidays!
